Jura Impressa A9 – Coffee Machine Review

Jura Impressa A9 – Coffee Machine Review

One of the newest Jura coffee machines on the block is the Jura Impressa A9. The Jura A9 is the “bridge machine” between the ENA range and the F range. The Jura A9 has all the features of all the other Jura coffee cachines including one-touch cappuccino option. Similarly to the F7, F50 and F8, it has the size required for office use.

Programmability

Like all Jura One Touch coffee machines, the Jura A9 can be operated by touch, either by the “press-and hold function” or by going into the menu and setting all the size and strength options manuals.

Cleaning

One of the cool cleaning features of the A9, is its automatic cappuccino (milk) cleaning function. All Jura coffee machines offer an automatic coffee cleaning function but only the one touch models like the A9 offer an integrated and automatic cappuccino rinse cycle. One should still do a short daily manual rinse to ensure the working of the frothing system.

The Good

The Jura A9 is very good value for money for what it offers in terms of features. Everything from cappuccino to latté through a single button press. The A9 is also small enough to not take up too much room in a home or office environment (dimensions H323 x W239 x D445mm). The front face of the machine also has a beautiful gloss finish, making it an ideal choice to use in any office boardroom environment – no matter how far up the corporate ladder your company is. There is also a touch screen interface on top of the machine which allows the user to choose their drink through the graphical menu. Lastly, the A9 can accommodate a proper latté sized glass. Jura machines in the past have been notorious for only allowing a mini latte glass fit.

The Bad

The biggest problem of the A9 is that it is still a little too small for most office operations. The water tank a mere 1.1litres and the coffee grinding container can only handle about 10 servings, making the A9 somewhat a nuisance when used in larger offices of over 15 people.

Verdict

The Jura A9 is a great option for small offices and is probably a better bet than any of the F range in environments where one-touch is required. If you plan to place the A9 in an office away from a water source then it could become a little frustrating with its miniature water tank but if you are one who doesn’t mind making a few trips to the kitchen then this machine could be the one for you.
